Candid Conversation with Mary Lamie, St. Louis Regional Freightway
Please join us for a Candid Conversation with Mary Lamie, Executive Director, St. Louis Regional Freightway, a regional economic development agency focused on driving the logistics – rail, river, and interstate – advantages of the St. Louis region.
Mary is responsible for developing public-private partnerships to optimize the region’s freight transportation network and creating the foundation for planning, marketing and advocacy of the bi-state region as a national freight hub with international connectivity.
The Freightway sets transportation project priorities such as making critical improvements to the Merchants Rail and Chain of Rocks bridges and bringing first mile/last mile projects to the bi-state region. These projects maintain national and regional competitive transportation costs that help support our international advanced manufacturing industries and the region’s integrated supply chain.
Mary is a civil engineer with over 20 years of experience working with the Illinois Department of Transportation, where she was responsible for 800 employees, 3,300 miles of state highway and 1,700 bridges.
