Grand MetroLink Station an "Island” In Need of Greater Connectivity
The Grand MetroLink Station in Midtown St. Louis is “an island.”
January 12, 2022
A recent ULI St. Louis technical assistance panel stirred up questions around the efficacy of connectivity at, to, and through Grand Station in midtown St. Louis. Surrounded by development and transit-rich, the station still sits in a “doughnut hole” as an island separate from the surrounding assets.
This report and surrounding conversations piqued the interest of St. Louis Public Radion and on a recent “St. Louis on the Air” segment, Chris Beard, Lochmueller Group and the TAP panel chair, and Kim Cella, Citizens for Modern Transit and TAP co-sponsor, were interviewed by STLPR’s Sarah Fenske about their thoughts on the challenges and opportunities for the Grand MetroLink Station.
