The long-awaited re-opening of the St. Louis Central Library in downtown St. Louis is just around the corner. Before construction barriers are brought down, however, the ULI St. Louis Young Leaders Group was welcomed inside the renovated building for a glimpse of the amazing work underway inside.
The tour, led by the Library’s Executive Director Waller McQuire, took our collective breath away. The impressive 100 year old building was magnificent to start. Today, with the updating of systems and careful restoration of astounding original details, the building is truly one of a kind.
While nothing can replace seeing the space first-hand, we did manage to capture some of the details in photos. Check out the gallery on Flikr.
